Just what you need

One of the main advantages of having frozen bread in your inventory is that you can choose the exact amount of pieces that you want to make each day, and keep the rest in the freezer for later. With this in mind, estimate a daily sales volume and bake just what you need based on it.

Make croutons and toast

Make the most out of leftover bread. Cut it into cubes, add some olive oil and spices, put them on a tray and bake it at a low temperature until it’s golden. You can also slice it and offer pieces of toast, and even make them a regular product of your shop.

 

 

Store it properly

If you are left with plenty of bread at the end of the day, you should store in a fresh, dry and dark place on a tray and sealed with a plastic bag.

 

 

Power efficiency is a key ingredient

Electrical power is the second highest expense for most bakers. Having this in mind, we suggest owning ovens with glass doors so you can check your bread without having to open them: in this way you avoid wasting power. On the other hand, did you know that if you reduce your bakery’s temperature by 1 °C, you can save up to 10% on air conditioning? Or that if you only use LED lamps you can save up to 75% on your power bill? Try it.
